"The Rare Ones"

Fathers and sons. Brother and sister. Lifelong friends. Returning guests and first-time visitors sharing the river together.
The fishing gave them plenty to remember. Mike came to the jungle for the first time with his sons, part of the crew of guides from his own lodge and some of his oldest friends.Sarah and Brian, a great brother-and-sister team, completed the group, back for a second round of fun in the jungle.

And the highlights of the week were the hard and rare ones: Sarah found the dorado she had been searching for across two trips and even beyond Tsimane. Quinn landed his first fish alongside his father only moments before the helicopter arrived. Mike somehow added a stingray to the week’s list of catches. And Chris spent 20 minutes locked into battle with a moturo, one of those rare fish that turns an ordinary fishing day into something completely different.

"Sarah’s Fish of a Lifetime"

Sarah had already been here once. She had seen the fish. She had come close. But she had never brought one to h and.She had even chased the same dream on the Paraná without meeting the fish she was looking for.Then, on her second visit to the jungle, the opportunity finally arrived.

A large dorado swung out from behind a boulder and tore into her fly. A few jumps later, after the first shock of adrenaline had passed, the fish finally surrendered at her feet. Her smile told the rest of the story.
