The week was quite windy and cloudy, which made fishing difficult—unusual conditions for this time of year.

There were plenty of good-sized snook, as well as bonefish and a few small schools of palometa. Tarpon were scarce in the shallows, partly due to poor water visibility. A few medium-sized tarpon weighing between 20 and 30 pounds were caught, along with two trophy specimens, one around 100 pounds and the other around 150 pounds. Some jacks were also caught.
