Geese hunting in this area of Argentina is superb! From May until end of July Guamini area, turns in a perfect place for those who love geeese hunting. Duck hunting -water fowling is also a very important activity in this area and our country is, without a doubt, a great choice. There are 12 common species in this area of Argentina, which is an area called the central lowlands, or wet pampas. In order of abundance you should see these ducks as they are listed below. Most all whistle, except for the Pochard which purrs, or burrs like the Canvasback. Fulvous Whistling, Duck Speckled Teal, White-faced Whistling-duck, Yellow-billed Pintail, Speckled Teal, Red Shoveler, Cinnamon Teal, White-cheeked Pintail, Silver Teal, Rosy-billed Pochard, Ringed Teal, Black-headed duck, etc. The unique grounds, the water wealth and this great delta of streams, lagoons and marshes, turn this area into a particularly attractive habitat for the variety of aquatic animal species.
For the duck hunting, that takes part in the morning hunters are placed individually or in pairs in different areas previously selected by the head guide. Every hunter is accompanied by a guide and a birdboy, to the hunting place in 4x4 light trucks.
Hunters may be shooting by a lagoonside from blinds located in the water. Every spot will have decoys set up and every hunter will be assisted by a bird-boy whose job is to make sure the hunter´s needs are catered for. Bird-boys will use typical calls.

In La Sistina Lodge hunting starts early in the morning. Breakfast is served at 5.00 consisting of coffee, toasts, jams, bacon and eggs, etc. Geese and Duck hunting goes on until 10.00, when you go back to the ranch to have lunch: a starter, a main course and dessert, served with wine, beer, fizzy drinks or mineral water.
Then, you can rest or even take a nap up to 3 o'clock when you go back to the fields to keep on shooting for doves until evening. Before dinner you may try a wide variety of cheese, ham, olives and drinks; dinner consists of three courses (starter, a main course and dessert). Also hunters may stay on the island to hunt for pheasant, perdiz and hare. In each case with a limit of 6 per specie.
» Accommodation:
The lodge covers 1300 acres hectares on the island of Guamini lagoon and has all the necessary services to accommodate 12 hunters in seven double-rooms some with private bath a some shareing bath. The lodge also has a dining room, a sitting room, a rest room, another rest room with satellite TV and music and a swimming pool, etc. The lodge is realy luxury.
